Services will resume at St Lucius' during Holy Week

Claire Helm, soprano, will sing on Easter Sunday
Following lockdown in January, we are pleased to announce that St Lucius' will reopen for services in April.

A short reflective service for Holy Week will be held at 7pm on Maundy Thursday, April 1. On Easter Sunday, Holy Communion will be celebrated by the Rev Jenny Barnes at 10.30am.

Congregational singing is still not permitted under the regulations, but one singer is allowed to take part in the liturgy. So we are delighted that the soprano Claire Helm, who sang so beautifully at Christmas, will join us on Easter Day.

Besides Easter hymns old and new, she will sing a new setting of the Easter Exsultet which begins:

Sing, choirs of heaven! Let saints and angels sing. Around God’s throne exult in harmony.

We rejoice that we can be together again as we welcome everyone to our services. Please remember to wear a face covering as Covid prevention measures remain in place
