Protective sheets in S Lucius' Church, Farnley Tyas
The construction of the extension to St Lucius' has slowed a little as stone is awaited and an electrical installation is completed, but work continues inside church.

A large plastic sheet has been suspended from a rafter to contain dust or debris created in the back third of the nave and four pews have been removed. Each one will be going to a good home.

Meanwhile the temporary lifting of the carpet near the kitchen area has revealed the original stone flagged floor and oak parquet sections on which pews were installed.

The font is due to be relocated to a position near the handsome stained glass window on the left of the top picture.

Some visitors may not appreciate that this window was created in memory of Nelly Oswell who died in 1959. She was the wife of a former vicar.
