Our weekly Community Café has been running for a year and the fresh coffee, cakes and biscuits are clearly going down well with visitors.
We are delighted that it has raised nearly £1,500 in donations, which will go towards our development appeal.
The café attracts a friendly, sociable crowd from the village and beyond and numbers have been rising steadily. It is open each Tuesday morning throughout the year from 9am - 11am.
Of course, it could not happen without the kindness and generosity of those who run it.
So thanks go to the cheerful volunteers from the Women's Institute, the Community Group, parents from the First School and St Lucius' church members, who take turns to host the cafe.
Farnley Tyas WI celebrates its 10th birthday in church on Saturday, September 7 with a cream tea from 2 - 4pm. Tickets £5.
