CALENDAR OF EVENTS 2022 - 2023
THIS WEEK: Visit our April Flower Festival

APRIL 28, 29, 30, 2022
Creativity of a high order is in evidence as participants express their love of a hobby with a display of items and a floral arrangement in our three-day Flower Festival
It opened this Thursday at 2pm and runs until 4pm on Saturday. Pastimes imaginatively represented range from golf and fishing to bee-keeping and needlework. And the Jam and Jerusalem display by Farnley Tyas WI is a little gem.
More than 20 exhibitors are taking part and the church will look and smell glorious.
The price for entry is £5, which includes an illustrated brochure, and refreshments will be served throughout.
Opening times: Thursday 2 - 5pm.
Friday 11am – 5pm.
Saturday 10am – 4pm.
Contact: 01484 661135.

Our popular Craft Fair will return in October with lots of gift ideas
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 1, 2022
Our autumn Craft Fair grows more popular year by year and we hope you will join us again on October 1. The 25 stalls last year offered a wide range of gift ideas, from ginger bears and handmade cards to ukuleles and original paintings. A musical instrument maker was on hand with his hand-made guitars and ukuleles, another exhibitor was doing lively trade in wooden clocks and the illuminated glass bottles lent the church a festive air. It was a pleasure to see so many visitors supporting the event and enjoying excellent refreshments as well as the high quality craft works. |
More events are under consideration for this year. They include:
And, of course, we hope to resume our popular Tuesday morning Community Cafe as soon as circumstances allow.
- A talk on dog breeds by Linda Whitwam
- A demonstration on how to improve your photography
- A family quiz night
- A swing band concert
- A trumpet and organ concert
- Film shows
- A cheese and wine tasting.
